SEEYOUSHORTLY / THE IMPORTANT DETAILS
Terms of Use
The rules for creating events, sharing invitations and using seeyoushortly.
1. About these terms

[Confirm the effective date, contracting entity and acceptance process before adopting these terms.] The Privacy Policy separately explains how personal information is handled.
2. Accounts and authorised access
Provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure. You must have authority to act for any organisation or other person you represent. Tell us promptly if you suspect account misuse. [Confirm the minimum account age and any rules for younger guests.]
Guests may access only events to which they have been invited. Do not share private invitation codes or event passwords with unauthorised people, impersonate another guest, or submit responses on someone else’s behalf without permission. Hosts can revoke invitations and change passwords.
3. Events and expiry
Hosts can draft event pages, upload photos, set a location and itinerary, ask custom questions, and share invitations or QR codes. Available features and limits depend on the plan shown in the app.
Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of event details, venue arrangements and guest communications. We provide event tools; we do not organise, operate or guarantee the underlying event.
Publishing requires the applicable payment and an event password. Events become unavailable to guests at the selected expiry time or when unpublished. Keep your own copy of important information. Expiry is not automatic deletion of stored content.
Custom URLs use an available address within the service. Changing the address means existing links and QR codes may stop working. A chosen address does not give ownership of our domain or a permanent right to that address.
4. Prices, payment and cancellation
The applicable price, currency, plan limits and any taxes will be shown before you confirm payment. Payments are handled through Stripe. Access to paid publishing depends on confirmed payment, not simply returning from checkout.
Nothing in these terms removes cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you have a billing problem or wish to cancel, contact billing@seeyoushortly.com with your event and transaction reference. Do not send full card details.
[Confirm cancellation instructions, refund rules, any statutory cancellation form and the process for a request to begin service during a cancellation period.] Publishing or cancelling the underlying event does not itself establish that a statutory right has been waived. Any necessary request or acknowledgment must be obtained separately through the appropriate purchase flow.
5. Your content and guest information
You retain the rights you hold in your photos, text and other uploaded content. You give us permission to store, process, format and display that content as needed to provide your event and related service functions.
Upload only material you are entitled to use and share. Obtain any necessary permissions from people pictured or described. Do not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful material.
Hosts must have a lawful reason to add guest information, explain the information they collect and use it appropriately. Ask only for information needed for the event. Sensitive information, including health or religious details, can require additional safeguards and permissions. Do not use custom forms to collect payment-card details, account passwords or identity documents.
Guests are responsible for making their replies accurate. Hosts should confirm critical matters, such as allergy or accessibility arrangements, directly with the guest rather than relying solely on a form response.
6. AI Assist
AI Assist uses OpenAI to suggest event copy, itineraries, questions and page styling from the information you provide. Review suggestions carefully: they may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or similar to material supplied to others. Verify dates, times, venue details and any assumptions before saving or sharing.
AI Assist does not make bookings, confirm suppliers, purchase services, send invitations or publish your event. You decide which suggestions to apply. Do not submit information you lack permission to share with the AI provider. Availability and request limits may vary.
7. Acceptable use
- Use the service lawfully and respect the privacy and rights of others.
- Do not harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate people, send spam, or publish unlawful discriminatory or abusive content.
- Do not attempt to bypass passwords, access another account’s records, scrape private guest information, or probe systems without authorisation.
- Do not distribute malware, interfere with the service, evade usage limits or misuse AI Assist.
- Do not share private invitations publicly or use the service to collect information deceptively.
8. Availability and other services
We aim to provide a reliable service, but interruptions can occur for maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Features that depend on payment, storage, email, map or AI providers also depend on those services being available. Keep an alternative way to contact guests and share essential event information.
Links to other services do not mean we endorse their content. Your direct use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We may improve or change features, subject to your applicable contractual and statutory rights.
9. Suspension and ending use
We may restrict an account or event where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, unlawful content, payment problems or a legal requirement. Suspension of a host account can also make its guest events unavailable. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us about the decision; urgent risks may require immediate action.
You can unpublish an event and stop using the service. Contact support@seeyoushortly.com about closing an account or a disputed restriction. Closing access, refunds and deleting retained information are separate matters governed by applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
10. Responsibility and legal rights
Each party remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. [Any additional allocation of liability, business-use provisions or limitations must be reviewed and completed for the operator’s jurisdiction and customers.] These drafts do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule or a waiver of statutory rights.
11. Changes, complaints and governing law
Contact support@seeyoushortly.com with questions, complaints or reports of misuse. Provide enough information to identify the account or event, without sharing passwords or other unnecessary private information.
We will identify revisions with an updated date and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes will not remove rights already acquired or protections that the law makes mandatory.
[Governing law and jurisdiction to be confirmed]. If you are a consumer, these terms do not deprive you of mandatory protections or court rights available under the law that applies to you.
