TWO WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Hosting the event?
Or preparing the venue?

YOU ORGANISE THE EVENTS

Run your guest lists in one account.

Create an event website, add the guest list, send private invitations and review replies. Use your organiser account to keep several events separate, each with its own schedule and shared gallery.

YOUR CUSTOMER IS THE HOST

Ask them to share the venue summary.

The host can email your venue a read-only link to current covers, meal-choice totals and relevant guest answers. Reopen it as preparations progress, with access controlled by the host.

A clearer guest list

Review invitations and replies for each event, with attending, declined and awaiting-reply totals. Keep separate occasions and their guests in their own event workspace.

Meal choices and useful notes

Hosts can ask the questions their event needs, including meal choices and dietary requirements. Selected answers appear in the venue summary for the people preparing the day.

Numbers for each part of the event

For multi-day events, hosts can collect per-day attendance and share the resulting daily covers. Keep a welcome dinner, main celebration and farewell gathering clear.

A focused, read-only handover

The host shares a confidential venue link with an expiry and can withdraw it. The venue can open the summary without creating an organiser account or editing the event.

Share thoughtfully. Keep the handover confidential.

The host chooses whether to include the full attending guest list. Free-text answers, such as dietary or access notes, can include a guest’s name so the right person can be identified. Share only what your venue needs and keep the link within the intended team.

FOR REGULAR ORGANISERS

BEFORE YOUR NEXT EVENT

A few venue questions.

Is seeyoushortly suitable for wedding venues?

It can support the guest side of a wedding or private event: invitations, RSVPs, event details, meal questions and shared galleries. A venue can organise events in its own account or receive a read-only summary from an event host.

Does the venue need an account to view a shared summary?

No. A host-shared venue link opens the read-only summary without an organiser login. Keep it confidential: anyone with the valid link can open it until it expires or the host withdraws it.

Can we change a customer’s event through the venue link?

The shared summary is read-only. The host manages their event and guest list from their own account. Organising an event in your own account is a separate workflow.

How does this fit with our venue booking software?

Use seeyoushortly alongside your booking and sales systems for guest communication and event preparation. Booking availability, contracts, deposits, room inventory and venue sales pipelines need your existing tools or a separate solution.

Can one event have several days or locations?

Yes. Set an overall destination and add a venue, address and map link for each day. Per-day attendance can help with the catering numbers for each part of the event.

Are meal choices a complete allergen-safety process?

They record the answers provided by guests. Your venue or caterer should review dietary and access notes, confirm any unclear requirements and follow its own food-safety procedures.
